Yeah! I (finally) figured this out! Happy Thanksgiving all. I'm sorry I won't be in Reno to see you this time, but, as they say, "I'll be home for Christmas!"
Good talking to y'all! Let's all remember the intention of this (besides fun) and start getting creative about ideas for Christmas. Have a Happy Turkey Day--wherever you are!! Love, Susie
In the spirit of Black Friday, I wanted to leave some ideas for my SS... there are still eight on-line shopping hours left on this, the holiest of all shopping days!
Of course, it goes without saying that I have been VERY good this year. Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to the important stuff.
As you may know, Santa, I love to cook and entertain. So anything from Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, etc. would be well-received and much appreciated! Specifically, I've been eyeing the Jean Dubost Laguoile 3-piece cheese knike set (in black or ivory) and this wood serving tray: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=2110&f=29764. No hostess can be truly prepared without a multi-purpose tray like this one from CB2: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=230&f=4099&q=tray&fromLocation=Search&DIMID=400001&SearchPage=1. I could also really use a stainless ice bucket and sleek pitcher like these: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=271&f=2300; http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=2030&f=1392&viewall=1.
Santa, please don't feel constrained by these examples... they are only suggestions. Feel free to get creative!
So, I've actually been exceedingly naughty this year...seriously, I made like 7 kids cry last week alone. But in my defense, they TOTALLY deserved it! As such, I feel that I still deserve a Christmas present.
So my Christmas request is this: please make a donation to a worthy charity of your choosing. Times are tough for a lot of folks this year, and it would fill my heart with a lot more joy if you helped someone who needs it a lot more than I do.
Now Santa, if you just can't stand this idea, and insist on a present for me, I will give you one personal wish this year...it is the Lodge cast iron skillet - 12 inches. Here is a link to Williams Sonoma where it is sold, but they sell these all over the place, so you might want to hunt for bargains! http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/c201/index.cfm?pkey=xsrd0m1%7C16%7C%7C%7C0%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7Ccast%20iron&cm%5Fsrc=SCH
That being said, no need to get the skillet, I'd still you rather spend the money on someone who truly needs a gift this year. But I know Santa, how you can be, so I'm just adding the skillet as a back up idea.
Wow! I can't believe how naughty Michon was this year and she is trying to punish some poor sap with her coal!
The other thing I cant believe is how soon I am posting on this blog this year, it's very unlike me...
So, here goes, some ideas for you to choose from... I would like an iHome clock radio (black), so I am not late for my early morning hoops games anymore. On that note, I could also use a new pair of basketball shorts like the ones here (size M): http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr--88463/sku--53189010/cm--GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH/
That's it for now, more to follow. Got your cookies right here, Santa.
Please excuse our tardiness in posting ideas for the Christmas festivities. I have been incredibly busy lately with school and working 6 days a week; but that also means I have been a good girl this year. Jay, on the other hand, has been questionable. For that reason, I propose that Jay's gift be redirected to me this year.
All kidding aside, the only item we have both been considering for some time is a camcorder. We found the one we want on Amazon, but it is slightly over Santa's yearly cap (the recession has been rough in the North Pole too!). Because of this, both Jay and I would absolutely love a gift card to Amazon.com to put toward the camcorder of our dreams.
I hope that the Santa records collected under the authority of the USA Patriot Act reflect the good behavior we have both shown this past year.
On behalf of Joe Garcia, who can't seem to get on the post: I would love a golf bag to carry the clubs that I shot a 79 with a few weeks ago. A bag with individual club dividers and without the two leg stands. I know I will love whatever you pick out.
Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is to get everything done that needs to be done before your arrival from the North Pole. Can you pull that out of your big red bag? If that's too much for even you, I would most graciously like some Daniel Green Slippers (the same brand Dodie used to wear--I must be getting old!). They're called DG Caramel #52310-602 Wine-Colored, 6.5 medium. If you can't find 'em, anything comparable would be just fine. I'd also like an Apple USB power adapter for my iPod so I can charge it without my computer. Or... I love candles that smell up a room (like Yankee). Or if your elves can't rustle up any of these things, I'll keep thinking. Love, Your Favorite
